Supermarkets, Maple Donuts and other stores will be selling fastnachts this year.
Giant stores are prepping with more than55,000 fastnachts: plain, sugar and glazed. Customers can preorder by calling their local Giant bakery.
And Weis stores also are offering plain, glazed and sugared.
The coronavirus pandemic continues to impact life, asSt. Cecilia's in Lebanon is not taking pre-orders this year. It will sell round-the-clock until sold out.
Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Columbia, Lancaster County, isalready sold out this year, according to its website. Some might be available if extras are made or orders are not picked up.
For the East Prospect Fire Company, this will be its second year forselling fastnachts as a fundraiser, said Linda Fauth, secretary and fundraising coordinator.
"Ours are the genuine ones"— made with mashed potatoes and lard,she said.
